Celebration of Love

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!

Hey! The season of love is here once again...and let's take this opportunity to show our loved ones how much we appreciate them...we might not necessarily buy them gifts...but just show them how much we love them through our actions...love is not materialistic...rather, it is a gift from God...

Just read Marcus' blog... we indeed should not forget God during Valentine's Day...

Usually when we talk about Valentine's Day we will think of lovers, boyfriends, girlfriends, family members etc....

True enough we ought to celebrate our love for our loved ones on that day....

But we must not neglect God either at the same time...

Moreover, it was God who created love and love came from Him...and it was God who loved us first...

So then, take some time in prayer to thank God for his unconditional love which He has showered upon us and ask Him to fill us with His love...pray also that He will guide us to be in His love, never leave it and to love Him, who we can't see, by loving our neighbours who we can see...

Don't worry if you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend/lover/or you just feel lonely/etc. to celebrate this occasion with you...God who is the source of all love always loves you no matter what!

Make sure you celebrate this Valentine's Day meaningfully and take the opportunity to express your feelings to your loved ones!

A short info about the origins of Valentine's Day:

Valentine's Day is the official feast day of Saint Valentine according to the Roman Martyrology. He was the bishop of Rome and also a physician who was imprisoned for practising Christianity which was a crime at that time. He converted a jailer while in prison by restoring the jailer's daughter's sight and was beheaded after being stoned and clubbed in 269 for his faith. In the Middle Ages, the English began writing love letters to lovers on this day and that was how the modern celebration of Valentine's Day came about.

Take care and God bless!!!

~Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interest, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice with wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.~ ---1 Corinthians 13:4-7
