School has reopened around three weeks ago already...just an update on recent events...
Just came back from seremban two days ago...
As usual there was the reunion dinner and all the other cny stuff going on...and also lots of angpaus...haha...
My dad and aunties finally taught me how to play mahjong...after all this while I finally get to play mahjong...it's quite simple actually...like most games the objective is to collect as many tiles of the same type as possible and then group or pair them up to gain points...and there are also other miscellaneous tiles which can gain points without grouping them up...and to win each round the player has to have a pair of tiles of the same kind...I played quite a lot of times but I didn't gamble though...
The dinner every night was okay...my aunts took turns to prepare the dinner...served the regular chinese food...and after the dinner my relatives gambled...I didn't join in though...and I was left all alone together with a bunch of toddlers running around doing who-knows-what...lonely and boring...had to just lay around til it was about 2 a.m. before I could go back to my aunts house and have a good night's rest...oh well...haha...
But thank God I have many wonderful relatives...and my aunt's cooking is fabulous...at least I enjoyed that...and I received many angpaus too...I'll appreciate what I have...Will be having another cny dinner again with my maternal relatives later today, courtesy of my uncle...haha...
And as for my school stuff, the recent updates are:I got thrown into 4 Amanah (one of the two pure science classes with straight A students in it, the other is 4 Budi).
The homework in this class(and also 4 Budi I suppose) is piling up...simply just because all the students got straight As for pmr the teachers are bombarding us with tons of homework...I mean we're just smart, not stress-proof...and now the number of homework we have is anytime double digit...and that's still not counting the tuition yet...I have no idea how some people with 10 tuitions are going to cope...I myself can't cope already even with just 3 tuitions(chemistry, physics and add maths on three consecutive days) and being in the straight As class...
Despite the many homework given, there are still a few good teachers like Miss Shaileen...friendly teacher...and very nice too...thank God for that...=D
And I heard that there's going to be a new timetable when school reopens next week...I'm not sure how true it is...I've heard it a lot of times before but the timetable still hasn't changed yet...and if it does change, just pray that it will not mess up the already chaotic situation...
As for my cocurricular activities, I've joined:
-taekwondo
-interact
-choir
-pengawas pusat sumber
I've joined too many I guess...and it just makes my already tight schedule even tighter...so I think I'm going to drop some activities, maybe tuition or cocurricular activities soon...too much rushing here and there and stress...anyway I need some time to relax also, right...
Oh well...I'll try to finish as many of my homework and projects as possible and at the same time chill out...
*Read more about one of my previous posts about abortion at http://philipgerardjohnson.blogspot.com/2009/01/foca-and-powerful-message-from-fr.html ...it's a blog of an American Catholic...

Abortion is MURDER
-FOCA will do away with state laws on parental involvement, on partial birth abortion, and on all other protections.
-FOCA will compel taxpayer funding of abortions.
-FOCA will force faith-based hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform abortions.
This means that taxpayers who object abortion will also be forced to fund abortions. Catholic hospitals which receive public fundings will also be forced to close down if it doesn't perform abortions.
The 'Freedom' of Choice Act is not true freedom to start with...what kind of freedom is there when taxpayers are forced to fund abortions? And to take an innocent life of an unborn child, though it might still be in the womb of the mother, cannot be justified as 'freedom'...it is pure murder to take a life of another human...such freedom is fake...
Some people say that it's the right of a woman to do whatever she wants with her body...and anything that's inside it, which includes an unborn child...but how about the rights of the foetus inside? When such a thing happens, only the rights of the woman are called to mind but the rights of the foetus are totally ignored...it's called INJUSTICE... And the well-admired Obama wants a free, just and democratic society...what kind of society is it that does 'justice' by denying the rights of an unborn child to life? It is pure cold-blood legal murder... And medical staff who refuse to perform abortions due to the clarity of their conscience will be at the disadvantage according to the new laws...is that the kind of justice and democracy Obama has in mind?
In the first place, many people (including Obama I assume) think that a foetus or embryo is just a mere piece of flesh...such perceptions lead to the acception of abortion as just merely removing a piece of flesh, not murder... However, the truth is that the piece of flesh, from the zygote until it is born as a baby, contains something called a soul...it has life...it is more than just a piece of flesh...it is living and breathing...
When an abortion is performed and saline(saltwater) is injected into the womb, gruesome events take place... First, the saline will burn the very flesh and skin of the foetus while it's still alive...and then it will be slowly reduced into a pile of disfigured flesh...it's something like putting salt on a snail or worm and it will just wiggle around until it's dead... Another method would be more straightforward...the surgeons will just mutilate and pull the foetus out from the womb piece by piece while it's still alive... It is indeed disgusting to do such a thing...
Although we are here in Malaysia and the things I just mentioned about are happening at the other side of the globe and you might probably think it's none of your business in the first place, but can't we just take a few moments to care for these abortion victims by at least doing something? Maybe by signing the petition at http://www.fightfoca.com/ or any other small deeds that wouldn't take up a minute(at least you did something) to deter the enforcement of the new abortion, pro-choice laws...let us voice out to the world,by the means we are capable of, the silent screams of the unborn children being murdered by doctors with the consent of ignorant parents...its our choice whether or not to make a move, no matter how small it may be, to stop these evil laws before the inauguration of Obama on 20th January in four days time...
*Pls pray for peace in the Middle East and for a successful ceasefire agreement between Israel and Palestine so that there will be no more bloodshed.
~"The doctor should not meddle. The right of the child is equal to the right of the mother's life. The doctor can't decide; it is a sin to kill in the womb."~ ---Saint Gianna Beretta Molla (Patron saint of unborn children)
~"Where there is a murder before birth, you do not even let the harlot remain only a harlot, but you make her a murderess as well"~ ---Saint John Chrysostom (Doctor of the Church)
~"The woman who purposely destroys her unborn child is guilty of murder. The hair-splitting difference between formed and unformed makes no difference to us." "Moreover, those, too, who give drugs causing abortion are deliberate murderers themselves, as well as those receiving the poison which kills the- foetus." ~ ---Saint Basil the Great (Doctor of the Church)
~"Abortion kills twice. It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother." Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three quarters of its victims are women: Half the babies and all the mothers.~ ---Mother Teresa of Culcatta

2008
2008 has ended and now its time to prepare for 2009 with many challenges ahead. 2008 has been a wonderful year with many ups and downs...but most imprtantly,my life changed for the better this year...
and now, the review for 2008:
haha...I got straight As...woooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I seriously didn't expect that...I hardly studied for any of the subjects and i didn't study geo at all...XD...thank God that He still blessed me so abundantly...
next...went for two trips during my hols...first was to genting(organized by my school) at the begining of the hols n the second trip was to vietnam with my ex-nieghbour at the end of november...here are just some of the pics...
Vietnamtake a look at these cables...they r so messy and unarranged...and I saw some cables dangling mid-air...and the cables r so low that they reach my head...I bet if some tall ppl like william who goes there will sooner or later accidentally strangle himself on one of those cables...lol...
I actually took more than a thousand pics...but I just picked some of the best...the pics r not in order... One thing I can tell u from my trip is that vietnam isn't really the place where u would like to go for a vacation...the ppl there are unfriendly, there are a lot of conman and the city is crammed with all sorts of tourist stalkers stalking tourist to by their souvenirs...and the place is also rather dirty...lots of pollution....and the drivers there also driver like there's no tomorrow...they jam on their honks non-stop...vietnam isn't really a place for a peaceful and quiet vacation...
and now...the ace adventure camp at the commonwealth reserve forest back in may...so long ago already...it was a fun n memorable one...especially because i met so many new friends there...=)
